Fotoron was born in Nicaragua between 1971-1980 and now lives in residence not given. Fotoron's citizenship is of Nicaragua and will tell people that he is from not given. Politically Fotoron considers himself Other, though at times considers such labels as simplistic.
In commenting about Nicaragua, Fotoron wrote the following:

La revolución Sandinista parece ser el único episodio de la historia de Nicaragua que me ha llevado a interesarme por la HISTORIA. De ahí en adelante los Muros han caído uno a uno. En este momento estoy demoliendo uno en Granada, espero poder compartirlo aquí pronto.
